What is your name?
How long have you been working in the early years?
I have been working in the Early Childhood industry for over 15 years. I started my career as a trainee in the babies room and have the privilege of working across all age groups including Outside School Hours Care. Over this time frame, I have built my knowledge and have extensive experience across various job roles within the industry.
What is your favourite part of working at the centre?
It definitely has to be the connection that is built between children and their families. To become an extension of the children’s families is such a blessing.
What qualifications do you hold?
Diploma of Children’s Service and currently studying towards a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
What are you most passionate about?
An inclusive practice that promotes a strong sense of security and safety for every child.
What are you most proud of at your centre?
How dedicated all our passionate educators are towards ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to all our children and families.

What inspired you to become an educator?
The gift of being able to give laugh and love to children, to support them, watch them grow and develop as little individuals.
What values are most important to you in your team members?
Teamwork – There is no ‘I’ in team.
What is your philosophy about educating children?
I have a strong belief in children learning through play. When children are provided with opportunities within their own interests and in a manner where they comfortable and safe , risks can be taken without the fear of failing enabling some of the most amazing learning to occur.
What makes your team/centre special?
The majority of our educators that have been within the company for many years. The Educators know every child and every family.
What was your dream occupation as a child?
What do you do in your free time?
I love taking trips down to my home town of Busselton and spending the time with my family and spoiling my 10 nieces and nephews.
