We seek to provide a home environment in our babies room, where individual routines are incorporated. It is important that our children feel safe and supported so that they can focus on learning first skills.
The program is designed to cater to children 0-1 years and 1-2 years. For babies in the first year, we focus on developing the following skills:
- overcoming separation anxiety
- sitting, crawling, standing up
- reaching for toys
- building relationships with others
- promoting speech and language
For children age 1-2 years, our program focuses on developing self-help skills in areas such as:
- washing of hands
- caring for resources
- caring for others
as well as promoting curiosity, independence and understanding of the world around them.
The indoor and outdoor environments allow children to move about freely and safely, and access learning resources. Our gardens provide green spaces to support children’s development in crawling, walking, climbing, balancing as well as in socialising with other children. Even at this young age, children are natural learners and are curious about the world they live in. By incorporating natural materials in our program and educational resources, we enable children to develop their knowledge and understanding of their environments, make meaning of relationships and begin to care for the world they live in.
